Established in 2005, The American Prostate Cancer Initiative is a
501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation based in New York City whose
mission is to raise prostate cancer awareness to the same level that now
exists for breast cancer. APCI created and developed the concept of
SNEAKERS@WORK DAY and invited other Prostate Cancer organizations to
join in to make this event the largest single day of awareness and fund
raising for Prostate Cancer. |

Us TOO International, the largest member supported Prostate Cancer
Organization in the US—300+ Chapters... 50,000 members is working with APCI in enrolling companies and their employees
to participate in the DAY. |

Where does the money go? |

One hundred percent (100%) of every dollar raised through
SNEAKERS@WORK DAY
goes directly to American Prostate Cancer Initiative
and its S@W DAY
partner, , to support Prostate Cancer awareness, patient
education, advocacy and research programs that might otherwise go
unfunded.
The Dean and Betty Gallo Prostate Cancer Center
and the Prostate Cancer Mission/Florida each have their own programs and are potential 2009-2010 Grants Granted recipients. |
